So… I was 3.17 miles from home yesterday when I looked down from my lofty (and sweaty) cycling  saddle… and saw that my back tire was almost flat. I turned back and pedaled standing up for a little bit… but had visions of bent spokes after a half-mile or so. The walk back home was a slow one. I carried the bike for a while… then I realized that was pretty dumb… so I walked it back the rest of the way.

Some kind friends have suggested that I carry a tire-repair kit with me in the future.

I think that would be preemptively expecting tubal failure.

So I’m not gonna succumb to this pressure.

Nope. I’ll just carry/walk my bike.

On another closely related (and yet not the same) note. Have you seen this? It’s a digital bike lane that moves with the cyclist. Pretty stinkin’ inventive if you ask me… but how much will one of these suckers cost?

Thats a really cool pic. wonder how effective itll actually be. It only looks like the lane is projected out by 2 bike lengths on each side. I’d want it to be at least 50 feet if it were me. But, its a fantastic idea tho

Come on, son! Flat tires will come. Be prepared! Ha! I am looking forward to the day that I can run soon and if the answer is no then you and Lance will have a new biking buddy, but I will have a flat tire kit! Love ya!
