I am grateful that the Lord has entrusted me this opportunity to begin this new adventure… but I am equally as grateful for all of the churches who gambled on me over the years…
- Cartwright First Baptist Church… Who takes a gamble on an 18-year old as their first youth pastor? Reverend Ray Earley and Cartwright FBC, that’s who. I will be forever thankful for my time serving alongside Brother Ray and the great people of CFBC.
- Honey Grove FBC… I learned much about humor and pastoral counseling from Reverend Glynn Tyson, much about the importance of being a dedicated disciple (aka: learner) from Dr. Jim Puckett, and much about church administration from the people of FBCHG. I will always be thankful for my time at First Baptist HG.
- Boyd Baptist Church… I will never forget the way that Reverend Lyn Holly, Reverend Rex Jackson, and the people of Boyd Baptist Church embraced my young family. While serving alongside Lyn and Rex, I grappled with my Call to students and discovered that my Call was beginning to expand to loving and serving families. Those lessons have become more applicable in the past three months than I ever thought possible.
- Allen Memorial Baptist Church… Dr. William Warren has believed in me from the first time we met. That belief has driven him to go to great lengths to support my family… and now to support Remedy Church. Reverend Michael Sove and the people of Allen Memorial have been a safe place for Amanda and I to begin following the Lord in this new vision.
To all of you who have poured love and encouragement, I echo Paul’s words to the Church in Philippi…
